Joshua Chisa Mbele Calls For Chakwera’s Apology After A Police Officer On His Convoy Kicked A Pedestrian

Social commentator Joshua Chisa Mbele is calling on President Lazarus Chakwera to apologize for the conduct of the police officer on one of the cars on his convoy who kicked a pedestrian.

Chisa Mbele is also calling for the firing of the police officer over what he described as shameless, senseless and a pure misconduct because the man he kicked did nothing wrong.

“The President must apologize to Malawians. We can’t accept that kind of barbarity. You can’t use people’s taxes and abuse the most vulnerable in our society,” said Chisa Mbele.

Mneneri as he is well known, continued that the man was walking the right side of the road and the security guard was in the wrong place.

“Pedestrians walk on the right so that they can see the oncoming traffic. Just want to repeat common sense and decency: The man that was kicked was in the right place. He was on the Right. The Security Guy was in the wrong place. They were driving on the right hand side of the road,” wrote Chisa Mbele.

According to Chisa Mbele’s observation, the presidential motorcade was moving at unnecessary speed regardless that it was passing through a trading center.

“The Convoy was passing through a trading area at unnecessary high speeds. The President Car windows were actually open meaning he intended to wave at the crowd,” he said.

According to Chisa Mbele, the only was the president can repair the damage is through issuing an apology and have the police officer disciplined.
