Police in Ntchisi have arrested 27 people after being found buying farm produce from farmers using uncertified scales and without licenses.
Ntchisi Police Spokesperson Yohane Tasowana, has confirmed the development saying the suspects, aged between 16 and 44 were arrested in areas of Malomo, Bumphula, Jamulez and nine miles among others.
The police also seized about 40 unregistered scales from the suspects.
They will appear before court soon.
