How Two Brothers With Disability Spent 12 Years Building A House For Their Mother

One of the most beautiful stories to have ever been aired by Afrimax English is the story of two disabled brothers who, against all odds, decided to build a house for their mother

Afrimax gathered that Niyonzima Abraham who is suffering from essential tremor and his younger brother, Nduwayezu Eric who has a disability of the arm and leg despite their condition promised to build a house for their mother

Because they had no job and no money, they couldn’t afford bricks or hire people to help them build the house so they decided to do it themselves using timber that they collected from the forest and mud. Speaking with an Afrimax reporter, Abraham said they thought they could complete the house in two years however they were wrong

He said even though they worked tirelessly on the house from Monday to Sunday, it took them 12 years to arrive at the structure captured in the image below

It was at this stage that Afrimax discovered them and aired their beautiful story after which several kind-hearted people from all over the world donated money through the Givinglife foundation to help them complete their house. After the donations came in, the house was completed and furnished

Their mother who also spoke to Afrimax revealed that her sons were born normal. She said they fell sick when they were very young and she took them to the hospital, but the doctors told her that they couldn’t do anything about it.

She added that when her eldest son Abraham promised her that he and his younger brother would build a house for her, she doubted him, and even when they started building the house she tried to discourage them because she didn’t think it would be possible. However, today she is pleased with what they have achieved

She also said she is very happy that her sons didn’t let their condition deter them from dreaming big and she would always remain grateful to everyone who supported her sons in their quest to build a house for her.
