Man Nabbed For Illegal Mining In Mulanje

Police in Mulanje have arrested 51-year-old man, Chisasa Tungamire, suspected to have been involved in illegal mining at Mulanje Mountain.
Mulanje Police Spokesperson, Gresham Ngwira, says a forest ranger found Tungamire in the mountain on Tuesday with a bag of minerals suspected to be Quartz that he had dug within the mountain.
Ngwira says the minerals will be taken Geological Survey Department for examination.
