Uganda’s international Gospel musician Levixone has paid tribute to Malawi’s departed hip hop artist Martin Nkhata, alias Martse.
Levixone, who just arrived in the country via Kamuzu International Airport ahead of Sand Music Festival Gospel Concert on Sunday said his heart is with Malawians as they mourn the fallen young king.
Martse, 28 died on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) where he was being treated for burn wounds he suffered after a house he slept in caught fire.
Meanwhile, his body is in transit to Lilongwe, Likuni at his parents’ residence from Blantyre where a vigil will be taking place.
The late Martse will be laid to rest tomorrow at Area 18 cemetery in the capital city.
Martse who has left a child, was one of the most loved and unique hip hop artist in the country with a huge following.
