Three months ago when Afrimax media visited this family, no one could smile and both parents could not sleep as their boy Hiroko was battling a giant tumor. They had no money and that meant no treatment, making the boy’s condition worse every day.
Afromax posted a story and the parents got money, took the boy to the hospital and the operation was successfully performed. Today the eight year old looks better as the family needed a lot to survive. A campaign was created on givinglife.com in order to help them and different good samaritans contributed around the world. Money was raised which was given to this family in order to change the standard of living.
Hiroko was born normal and healthy but after only six months he developed a small pimple on his neck. The pimple started to hurt and the little boy scratched it daily. The more he scratched it the more the pimple swelled and turned out to be bigger and bigger. The parents immediately took him to the hospital.
They visited many hospitals to try to see if the boy’s life would be saved but all was in vain as he did not receive any treatment due to lack of money. They could only depend on the harvest from the farm and didn’t have large plots of land.
Hiroko was brave enough and had the courage to wake up every day for the sole purpose of having a better future, that’s why he never missed the classes. He regularly attends and is focused like any child, he dreams that one day he could become a doctor, even if these parents have no money.
Making sure the eight year old didn’t lose confidence, they always taught the little guy to be strong by reminding him that soon it would all be over even though as parents they couldn’t quite see it happening anytime soon but were making sure the eight- year old never gave up hope.
Hiroko’s parents say that the plea Afrimax did was productive, that they got sponsors who helped them to go to the hospital. The boy underwent surgery and the surgery was done successfully and he returned to his normal life.
The father thanks everyone who helped get the boy to the hospital and that the hospital results showed it was just a tumor with no cancer. It is very possible that the problem was never the disease but rather the lack of money for the little boy to be treated and the boy is happy and everyone can see that he looks totally different and happier.
