Chakwera Challenges Zamba To Preserve Sanity In Her Work

Lazarus Chakwera has challenged the newly appointed Secretary to the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba to preserve the sanity in the Civil Service by confronting the wrongs in the country’s Public Service.

Chakwera made the remarks at a swearing in ceremony of the newly appointed Secretary to the President and Cabinet at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.

“To be an SPC is an enormous task and position of public trust. It requires a person of great courage, because you hare tasked with changing a culture that many want to keep the same,” said the President.

He further said he sees the new Secretary as the best candidate for the job due to her experiences in different offices.

“In you, Ms. Colleen Zamba, I see precisely the sort of person who is made of such stuff,” Said Chakwera.

Zamba has replaced Zangazanga Chikhosi who has been assigned for other duties.
