In the recent past, ladies who sell their bodies for money have been on the rise, the veterans have been in business for more than 30 years and still counting, despite their work being criminalised in the country and also being at a higher risk of contracting HIV and other infections, the girls seem not to worry about the dangers.
A group of researchers that has been with them since 2019 has revealed that the majority of the girls who parade themselves exposing their thighs with only one aim, attracting the thirsty men who cannot get enough of their wives or girlfriends are in business because they want to feed their child or children. The research company established that Nairobi has approximately 40,000-night workers and the number is expected to grow.
The women of the night also revealed that having men as their customers did not only help them financially but also gave them a shoulder to lean on, they said that some of them meant to do much to their lives and if they get an opportunity to get a man who will take them as they are, they will leave the job and be ready to build a family.
