Mutharika Celebrates 8th Wedding Anniversary

Former President Peter Mutharika is today celebrating his 8th Wedding anniversary with former first lady Gertrude Mutharika at PAGE house in Mangochi.

The two got married in 2014 just days after the tripartite election which saw former President Dr. Joyce Banda being booted of the High Office.

The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has since wished the party leader well in a message seen by this publication.

“May the love you have for each other continue to blossom with each passing day. The entire membership of the DPP wishes you endless happiness, joy and love on your 8th wedding anniversary.

“Happy 8th Wedding Anniversary His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the Former First Lady, Madame Gertrude Mutharika,” reads in part the message.

Mutharika ruled the country for six years.
