Monkey-Pox hit South Africa


The first case of Monkeypox has been reported in South Africa, according to News24.

An article recently published by Aljazeera suggested that the viral infection, whose 2022 outbreak was first reported in the United Kingdom, was endemic in 11 other African countries.

Now chances are high that the disease my spread to Malawi.

Weeks ago the Ministry of Health dismissed reports that there was a case of the zoonotic disease in the country.
