Two FDH Bank employees handed 8 months jail sentence for stealing 340, 000 from customer

Chiradzulu Third Grade Magistrate’s Court has convicted and sentenced two FDH Bank employees who stole K340 thousand kwacha by tricking a customer to eight months imprisonment.

The two pleaded guilty for the offence they committed last month, but prayed for leniency before Magistrate Patrick Kachingwe.

The convicts claimed that they are first offenders and bread winners for their families hence pleading for leniency.

The convicts, William Mitiyali,33, and Alfred Mkwanda, 30, hail from Nansanya Village, Traditional Authority Nchiramwera in Thyolo while Alfred Mkwanda is from Mpira Village, Traditional Authority Bwananyambi in Mangochi.
