A man who pretended to be blind was exposed after he was photographed counting up his sales with his assistant.

The alleged blind man apparently gained compassion from drivers and pedestrians after he stood in the middle of the road in Ghana to solicit alms.

Unaware that they were being conned by a fake, several people were kind and generous enough to give him money in various denominations.

The man who was believed to have lost his sight was captured on camera enjoying the money he earned with his helper while his eyes were wide open, shocking many social media users.

A motorist who was watching the two as they formed a tag team to deceive unwitting victims took their picture and posted it online.
