Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative (CDEDI) has cancelled the anti-President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera demonstrations in the capital Lilongwe 1000 dollar loan today .
However, leaders of the said protests have silently presented the petition at the office of the District Commissioner leaving some protesters at Lilongwe Community Ground.
In the petition, the protesters want Chakwera to honor honor his campaign promises by scrapping off presidential immunity.
The leaders say they have “silently” presented the petition without marching because activist Sylvester Namiwa has been ‘abducted.’
