A Chief Resident Magistrate’s Court in Lilongwe has convicted and sentenced 74-year-old Anthony Ngulube to 21 years imprisonment with hard labour for defiling and impregnating his 14 year old step daughter.
Lingadzi Police Station Public Relations Officer Salomy Zgambo said the court heard through police prosecutor Senior Superintendent Prescott Mwayiulipo that the convict started defiling the child in 2015 when the she was eight years old.
Passing judgement, Justice Patrick Chirwa, said the convict ruined the future of the child by abusing her physically and mentally hence slapping him with the sentence.
