Jealous Man Butchers Friend, Cuts Off Arm For Giving Wife Money in His Absence

A young man is in critical condition at the hospital after a friend butchered and cut off his arm after he gave his wife money to buy food for her child in his absence.

The incident is said to have happened at Brema Kuntunasi in the Breman Asikuma Odoben Brakwa district in the Central region.

According to reports from UTV, the suspect, Akwesi Amisah is also in critical condition as residents mobbed him after he butchered his friend. Residents have reportedly arrested him and handed him to the police. The suspect is however receiving treatment under police watch while they commence an investigation.

It was reported that the suspect, Akwasi Amisah suspected his wife of having an affair with his friend and warned him to stay off until the incident.

Before the incident, the suspect’s wife visited the workplace of her husband to ask for upkeep money but he was nowhere to be found. She then asked the victim for GHc5 for food to buy food for the child. When the suspect, Amisah got to the site, he got information his friend gave his wife money in his absence. He pounced on him and butchered him with a matchete; cutting off his arm in the process.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and is currently at the Our Lady of Grace hospital in the Central region.
