Chakwera hand over SADC leadership to Felix Tshisekedi

Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has handed over the SADC chairmanship to DRC President Felix Tshisekedi during the 42nd Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government opening ceremony underway Kinshasa.

In his handover speech, Chakwera has challenged SADC leaders to pull their resources together towards development of the region.

According to Chakwera, the SADC region needs investments amounting to $57 billion.

The SADC summit has also honoured late Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
