Chileka police seizes 94 bags of chamba

Chileka Police Station has confiscated 94 bags of Indian hemp locally known as chamba and a motor vehicle that was conveying the same.

The seizure was made on August 17 2022 at around 20:00hours at KCN where the officers mounted a snap roadblock.

The seized hemp will be sent Bvumbwe Research Station for examination.

Meanwhile, the police are hunting for the driver who bolted after seeing the police.

Chileka Police Station will continue to work round the clock to provide safety and security within its policing area.
