Unknown thugs on the run after killing a woman in Ntcheu

Unknown assailants are at large in Ntcheu following the gruesome murder of a woman in Newlines area in Group Village Headman Kasale, Senior Chief Kwataine in the district.

Ntcheu Police spokesperson Rabecca Ndiwate said the assailants stabbed the woman, Hendrina Njoka, to death.

“Neighbours notified us upon noticing of the absence of the deceased and upon arrival at the house we found that he was dead,” she explained.

Postmortem results from Ntcheu District Hospital show the death was due loss of blood secondary to assault.

The deceased hailed from Kampanje Village, Traditional Authority Njolomole in the district.

The police have since launched a manhunt.
