Man Found Dead After His Wife Pulled His Genitals

ZIMBABWE  – A 37-year-old woman from Concession, Mashonaland Central Province, allegedly killed her husband by pulling his genitals following a domestic dispute.

According to police, Jenny Ndengu and her husband Piki Chapondaninga (37) had a misunderstanding in their bedroom hut on 22 August 2022 at around 7 pm at Mufenje Farm.

The dispute degenerated into a fistfight and Ndengu overpowered Chapondaninga and yanked his privates and he fell unconscious.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson in Mashonaland Central Province, Assistant Inspector Naison Dhliwayo said Ndengu left the hut and slept outside.

At around 5 AM the following day, the deceased’s sister Shingirirai Gopani (30) visited the homestead and saw her sister-in-law sleeping outside.

Ndengu said she slept outside in order to safeguard her property thrown outside by her husband during the fight the previous night.

The sister checked in the bedroom hut and found her brother lying on a reed mate dead.

She then informed the father Samuel Gopani (63) who made a police report resulting in Ndengu’s arrest.

Police officers who attended the scene examined the body and discovered that the deceased was oozing blood from the right eye.

Ass Insp Dhliwayo urged the public to avoid physical fighting as a way to resolve conflicts but rather to use dialogue and third-party negotiation or other peaceful means.
