Have you ever felt pain usually in the upper middle part of the abdomen, above the belly button, and below the breastbone?

This pain can feel like burning and it may spread to the back. When you begin to experience this it might be an indication of a stomach ulcer.

Stomach ulcer which is also known as gastric ulcers, are painful sores in the lining of the stomach.

It usually occur when the thick layer of mucus that prevent your stomach from digestive juices is lessened.

This makes the digestive acids to eat away at the tissues that line the stomach, leading to an ulcer.

Don’t be afraid when you have stomach ulcer as it may be easily cured, but they can become serious if early or proper treatment is not given.

People who have stomach ulcer normally experience pain in the upper middle part of the abdomen, above the belly button and below the breastbone.

Other symptoms people with stomach ulcer experience include;

Heartburn

Indigestion

Nausea

Bloating

Over consumption of certain things can trigger your risk for stomach pain. Some of them include.

  1. Alcohol

Drinking alcohol in greater amount makes ulcers not to heal fast. It may even make ulcer get degenerated or more painful because you are drinking.

To make your ulcer heal quickly and avoid painful symptoms, limit your alcohol intake if you have an ulcer.

  1. Smoking cigarette

Smoking is an unhealthy habit for people with stomach ulcer. When you smoke ulcers doesn’t heal fast, ulcers are more likely to heal if you stop smoking.

Smoking also raises the risk for infection from Helicobacter pylori which can lead to stomach ulcer.

They are no doubt that overconsumption of these 2 things can trigger your risk for stomach ulcer.

Consuming these 2 things in excess can make your immune system, therefore, making you be susceptible to different diseases.
