Watch Drama As Unemployed Graduate Storms His University, Demands Refund Of His Fees

A man created a scene when he visited Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogboosho, Oyo state to demand a refund of his school fees.

The yet-to-be identified graduate also stormed the institution with his certificate which he returned because years after graduating, he has been unable to secure a job.

A video which has gone viral showed when he presented his certificates to the University staff with security personnel present.

He claimed that he had been suffering since when he graduated, noting that the certificate had not yielded him any financial gain since he was awarded.

“Give me my money, I am suffering,” the man lamented.

Meanwhile, The management of Ladoke Akintola University LAUTECH has reacted to a viral video of the young man holding a brown file and throwing tantrums.

When contacted, spokesperson of the institution, Fadeyi Lekan, told TheCable Lifestyle that he could not recognise anybody in the footage.

According to him, none of the university officials he had contacted over the issue could confirm that the incident happened.

“It’s only right that I speak on what I’m able to confirm. I called people in my office and they denied it. I’m in Abuja now. Only if I get back to Ogbomosho would I be able to do an investigation and confirm.

“I saw the video. I couldn’t identify a single person in it, else I would have reached out to hear from them directly,” he said.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in a 2021 report said that the unemployment rate in Nigeria had climbed to 33.3 percent in the fourth quarter (Q4 2020) from 27.1 percent recorded in Q2 2020.
