Kenyans Reactions After Uhuru Kenyatta Met With William Ruto Ahead Of Swearing-in On Tuesday 13th

President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and first lady Margaret Kenyatta met with Presidential elect, William Somoei Ruto and first lady to be Rachael Ruto at statehouse on Monday afternoon ahead of swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday 13th September.

It was a crucial meeting that was meant to discuss the state of the nation in the past ten years since they were elected in 2013. Among the issues they have discussed is development projects the two have achieved in their term, the progress so far and how William Ruto will ensure he complete the pending development projects.

In the meeting, the two also discussed on the transition process. Uhuru will be handing over power to William Ruto. In unexpected move, Uhuru also congratulated William Ruto for winning elections. He urged him to serve all Kenyans equally.

It is a meeting that left Kenyans in reactions. Some said that Uhuru’s term is now over and should go home in peace. Others commented that Uhuru was playing cards with Ruto to get him into power and eliminate Raila and that is why he is handing over power easily.
