Ex-VP Khumbo Kachali lambasts Mutharika

Former Vice President Khumbo Hastings Kachali who is also Freedom Party (FP) President has accused former President Peter Mutharika of being behind the current economic crisis the country is experiencing.

The accusations follow Mutharika’s unstoppable lambasting of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s leadership over the current mess.

Mutharika accused Chakwera of being a failure and asked him to resign for failing to find solutions to the current economic crisis.

But in his response Kachali has accused Mutharika of being the main man behind the current challenges.

“Fellow Patriotic Malawians, it pains me to see a broken man (Former President Peter Mutharika) who presided over the worst broken regime that landed us in this current mess, pretending to offer solutions now. This is a mockery to Malawians and taking them for fools.

“Peter Mutharika needs to be reminded that he was in charge when the following (out of the many) evils happened that have led to the current economic nonsense,” said Kachali.

Below is Kachali’s statement;

Fellow Patriotic Malawians, it pains me to see a broken man (Former President Peter Mutharika) who presided over the worst broken regime that landed us in this current mess, pretending to offer solutions now. This is a mockery to Malawians and taking them for fools.

Peter Mutharika needs to be reminded that he was in charge when the following (out of the many) evils happened that have led to the current economic nonsense:

– DPP party using a cadet bought envelopes worth Mk2billion for ESCOM (forex inapita).

– Mulhako wa Alhomwe top brass and DPP party functionaries used to draw fuel on a daily basis from ESCOM and others stole millions of litres of fuel from ESCOM (now issue in court).

– Under your nose, State House thieves masquerading as officers, fraudulently imported cement using your TPIN allegedly without your knowledge, squandering billions worth of forex. (issue in court but honestly where do you get the courage to start making suggestions now???)

– Your Minister embezzled billions from Ministry of Agriculture, burnt down the building in the process destroying evidence. DPP cadets stole billions from ESCOM and burnt down the building also yet you did nothing.

– You sold a whole MSB Bank with trillions worth of assets for a song to a DPP party corrupt businessman who was convicted of trying to bribe judges. If it were not for the trillions of money he stole from Malawians that earned him a questionable bail-pending-appeal, he could have been rotting in jail now.

-Your fraudulent Head of the Electoral Commission Jane Ansah who was stopped at Mchinji border running away to the UK and whose deeds almost plunged this country into a civil war, thereby scaring away foreign direct investors, still lives in hiding today.

These are but just a few of the millions of evils that you Peter Mutharika orchestrated as President of this country. The humongous economic chaos you created will take time to correct. Peter Mutharika shut your mouth up!
