Man hacks wife to death for chatting with their male neighbour

ZAMBIA – A 40-year-old woman of Chongwe has died after her husband allegedly hacked her to death when he found her chatting with their male neighbour.

Kamwingo Ng’anga was allegedly murdered by Alimon Miti between September 19 and September 22 at Kantyantya Village in Rufunsa District.

Zambia Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga and a relative of the victim confirmed the incident in an interview yesterday.

Hamoonga said officers at Chinyunyu Police Post on September 23 received a report of suspected murder around 08:00 hours from Matomola Mwananyambe, 54, that his niece had been killed.

“The couple were employed as caretakers at the farm which belongs to Winza Sichali, of Lusaka. On September 22 at 15:00 hours, Sichali tried to contact the suspect on his phone but could not go through”.
