Bodies of 4 people involved in Chakwawa accident yet to be identified at QECH

Information reaching this publication indicates that four out of 14 bodies of people who died in an accident which happened at Kamuzu View along Blantyre-Chikwawa Road on Saturday are yet to be collected at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) mortuary.
Blantyre Police Public Relations Officer Peter Mchiza has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.

“Bodies of four unknown people including a young woman and three men are still being kept at the mortuary pending identification. These four are among the fourteen people who lost their lives during the accident.

“Police in Blantyre are therefore, asking members of the public who may have missed their relatives or children to come forward and identify the children for proper care, as well as the dead bodies for proper burial procedures,” said Mchiza in the statement.

Meanwhile, Mchiza has revealed that relatives of a 5 year old girl who was being kept at the hospital after the accident have been found.
