Zambians mock Malawi leader Lazarus Chakwera for overstaying in US for UNGA conference

Zambians have taken to social media asking President Lazarus Chakwera to explain what he was really doing abroad considering that the conference he went for ended almost two weeks ago.

On September 222, 2022, Chakwera left the country for United General Assembly in United States of America, but passed by Kenya where he attended inauguration ceremony of President William Ruto.

Despite the fact that the conference ended almost two weeks ago, Chakwera arrived in the country yesterday.

Zambians on social media are mocking the Malawi leader and asking him what he was really doing outside his country.

Muyunda The Analyst; “😂😂😂😂How long was the same meeting?? And how many bilateral meetings did he have?? Because most of us have even forgotten about UN General Assembly.”

Victor Chitoshi Mukuka; “Through allowances he has made a four months’ salary. Through hotel bills he has made the hotel to make sales for three months. Hotel employees will have a good bonus this year. Meanwhile he’s gone back to his poor country after making the muzungu hotel owners happy.”

Howard Monga; “Maybe he used up all his transport money and became stranded.”
