EX MP for Ntcheu Bwanje North Francis Mkungula resigns from UTM

Former Member of Parliament for Ntcheu Bwanje North Dr. Francis Mkungula has resigned from the United Transformation Movement (UTM), a party in Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Mkungula has since defected to the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) which is being headed by former President Peter Mutharika.

Speaking to the press on Thursday after re-joining the party Mkungula said that he is returning to DPP because UTM failed to utilize his political skills.

DPP Eastern Regional Governor, Sheikh Emran Mtenje welcomed Mkungula into the blue camp.

Meanwhile, UTM is yet to comment on the matter.
