Some unknown people have demolished and burnt down Chavirwa Church of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia at Kafukule in Mzimba following a suspicious death of the congregation’s member.
It is said that Wynes Sinthulo, now deceased attended a service of worship at the church and later started complaining of stomach pains and died at Mzambazi mission hospital where she was taken to receive medical treatment.
This angered her relations who later accused the church leadership of having a hand in her death.
Northern Region Police Public Relations Officer Maurice Chapola has confirmed the incident saying no arrest has been made.
