Three people have died while three others have sustained serious injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned at Mbiya Village along the Kasungu -Nkhotakota on Monday.
Kasungu police spokesperson, Joseph Kachikho says the accident occurred after a motor vehicle TATA Novas track, swerved to its near-side verge where it overturned and rested in the water drain.
Police suspect the accident occurred because of speeding.
Meanwhile, police are advising road users to adhere to all road traffic rules and regulations to avoid preventable road accidents.
