Photographer Ras Kansengwa’s illness worsens, friends in fundraising drive

Power House Gym has organised a Reggae Dance Aerobics at Bingu National Stadium on Saturday November 5th, 2022 to raise funds towards the treatment of Ras Peter Kansengwa.

According to one of the organisers of the event, Ishmael Makawa, a certified fitness trainer based in Lilongwe, Ras Kansengwa has been struggling with his health recently and he needs a lot for treatment as the kind of medication needed is not available in public hospitals but only in pharmacies.

“We are targeting to raise at least K5.5 million during the event to be used to cater for some of his needs so that he can come back to his normal life,” Makawa said.

He added that people like Kansengwa are very important in our community because of their art and he has done a lot for different people including politicians publicizing their activities henve need to join hands and rescue him from what he is going through at the moment.

“We are appealing for support from all angles on this noble cause so that we help our brother because it is good to help him now when he is still breathing it will be important to him to notice what we have done for his life,” he added.

During the event, people will be requested to contribute a minimum of K2000 with many activities lined up including a live music show with Haxi Momba and the show will be moderated by Annie Matumbi.
