Mangochi Ward Councillors Closes NRB Offices Over Inefficiency

Ward Councillors in Mangochi have sealed National Registration Bureau (NRB) offices in the district over what they call inefficiencies.

Council chairperson Ivy Sande says the councillors are not happy that the NRB office in the district is failing to provide identity cards to people who applied for the documents about a year ago.

Sande says the councillors engaged NRB officials at district level to reason with them to improve on their operations but that nothing is changing.

There was no immediate reaction from the NRB officials at the district level.
