Blantyre Synod speaks out on church silence on Pastoral letters

The CCAP Blantyre Synod has come out of the cocoon to comment on the church’s silence in issuing pastoral letters regarding the Tonse Alliance government failures in addressing challenges rocking the country.

Speaking at the official launch of Henry Henderson School of Excellence in Blantyre the Synod General Secretary Billy Gama said the synod has not been issuing pastoral letters on problems Malawians are facing for a number of reasons including that Chakwera gives audiences to religious leaders all the times.

Turning to the ongoing demonstrations, Gama said the synod will not endorse any demonstrations against the government.

He said, people have lost lives and property during demonstrations and the synod does not want its members to fall into that.

Gama went further by asking President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to include him in MACRA board.
