Zambia’s Minister of Information Chushi Kasanda has once again come under fire for calling opposition political party leaders in the country as empty tins.
Two months ago, Kasanda also came underfire over her remarks where she said: “I think Sean Tembo is in love with me, even when he looks at his wife he sees Kasanda.”
Speaking in an interview with the press Kasanda all opposition political party leaders are empty tins and will not defeat Hakainde Hichilema come 2026.
“No one can beat HH in 2026, all opposition parties are empty tins,” said Kasanda.
Her remarks have attracted backclash from the general public in Zambia with many calling for her firing.
Gift Chansa wrote: “This is a government spokesperson, saying this, what a let down! If it was an opposition member that said that, she would have been arrested for DEFAMATION.
“The Zambian People are watching.”
Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema is yet to comment on the matter.
