DPP Councillor Chimbanga salutes Muluzi for accepting to appear before ACB today

Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga has saluted former President of the United Democratic Front (UDF) Atupele Muluzi for accepting to appear before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for questioning.

Muluzi has been summoned to appear before ACB for questioning on over a role he played in the allocation of two plots at Bwaila in the capital, Lilongwe when serving as Minister of Lands under the reign of former President Peter Mutharika.

Confirming the development through his official facebook page Muluzi said he will avail himself before at the Bureau headquarters to assist the graft-busting body with it’s processes and investigation.
He then urged his supporters not to worry.

Reacting to the development, Chimbanga hailed Muluzi for his gesture.
“Kudos to Hon Atupele Muluzi for demonstrating leadership. When you have done nothing wrong there is nothing to fear.

“I hope ACB will not be used as a political tool against those with dissenting views. It is interesting ACB is very slow acting on Tonse Ministers,” wrote Chimbanga.

Muluzi resigned from frontline politics two months ago.
