Azimio coalition leader and presidential candidate Raila Odinga has renewed his attacks against the Judiciary and the executive.
Odinga who lost to President Ruto in the August general elections has been bitter with the Judiciary since they upheld Ruto’s win.
Raila has revealed that the Judiciary no longer has the constitutional freedom and independence as they are being controlled by President Ruto.
Raila stated that the Judiciary is dancing to the tune of the executive and can no longer stand for its virtues rather can only act according to instructions from the president.
Further, Raila stated that the recent move by the DPP to drop cases on government officials is the easiest way to lose a country to criminals.
His statement comes just a day after the Deputy President’s Rigathi Gachagua case was totally thrown out on the basis of lacking evidence.
Raila stated that the judiciary should never be used a door mat as this would only attract vices in the government.
