Authorities In Dedza Shut Down School Over Cholera Outbreak

Authorities in Dedza have closed Mlambe primary school after two learners a girl 10 and a boy 14, died of Cholera.

According to reports, 16 other students from the same school have also been diagnosed with the disease.

Commenting on the matter, Dedza District Commissioner, Emmanuel Bambe, said the whole district has registered 47 confirmed cholera cases and five deaths all from Chitukula and Nanyanji villages in the area of T/A Kachindamoto.

Bambe has since asked the government to supply them with Cholera vaccines.
