The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) has disconnected power from all government buildings in the commercial capital Blantyre due o outstanding bills.
The move has paralyzed operations of these offices.
This building has offices like weather forecast office, Police office that handles financial cases, government media house and office of the Ombudsman.
According to information at hand, the said offices owe ESCOM MK9 million in electricity bills.
Effort to talk to Minister of Information and Digitalization Gospel Kazako proved futile on the matter.
