Political commentators not shocked with Chakwera’s cabinet reshuffle delays

The Political commentators in the country have  said they are not shocked by the delaying of President Lazarus Chakwera to reshuffle his cabinet.

According to Ernest Thindwa and Wonderful Mkhutche, they suspect President Chakwera is under political pressure which is preventing him to quickly reshuffle the cabinet following the dismissal of former Minister of Agriculture, Lobin Lowe and his deputy, Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima.

Responding to the commentators, presidential press secretary, Anthony Kasunda, said President Chakwera did not put a time frame on when he would make a reshuffle of his cabinet.

Few days ago, the Consumers Association of Malawi (CAMA) also released a press statement asking President Chakwera to fulfil this Cabinet reshuffle promise which many Malawians had received with high expectations considering the quality of the current Cabinet.

The promise for a Cabinet Reshuffle has been one of the many frequently made promises by the State President since he came into power.
