UN recognizes 25 year old primary school teacher Temwanani Chilenga

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) has today recognized a 25 year old Temwanani Chilenga and four other young people for their role in rendering services to their communities.

The awarding ceremony was taking place in Lilongwe during the celebration for International Volunteers Day.

Chilenga said; “when you want to start something, you don’t need someone to push you.”

Chilenga, is a Primary school teacher and also a hero in her community area 25.

She is passionate on helping others especially the young by mobilizing money and other resources to support their needs in her area.

She uses the little she makes to ensure that she makes someone’s life better and she owns an orphanage.

United Nations The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted in 2015 as a universal call to action, to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity
