TWO MOZAMBICANS ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE

Police in Mwanza are keeping in custody two Mozambican nationals for being found with an explosive device without permit.
The two suspects have been identified as Samuel Dickson Misozi, 52, and Tawanda Choma Kachipeya, 42.
Mwanza Police spokesperson, Edwin Kaunda, said Misozi and Kachipeya were arrested by border patrol police along Makanani escarpment.
“The two were coming from Blantyre going to Mozambique. They were seen throwing away an object upon seeing police officers. It was discovered to be an explosive device,” said Kaunda.
It is not yet confirmed as to what explosive device this is.
