Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that Silver Strikers Chief Executive Officer Thoko Chimbali has left the club.
The development follows the recent commotion where Silver Strikers supporters sealed Chimbali’s office while pushing for his resignation.
The supporters accused Chimbali of making decisions without due consultations.
Chimbali has confirmed of his resignation in a statement seen by this publication.
“Silver Strikers is my home but when your life is at stake, consider your family first. My contract ends on 30th March 2023 with the company and I have asked the board not to renew it. Meanwhile I have decided to take leave till the end of my contract.
“Don’t take death threats lightly,” wrote on his official facebook page.
The Club is yet to comment on the matter.
