Police in Jenda has confirmed the accident of a bus named Post Coach that was traveling from Lilongwe going to Karonga swerves off the road due to a Tire bust leaving two people with serious injuries and 19 others with minor injuries.
The accident took place today morning on the M1 road just after Champhira in Mzimba district.
According to officer in charge Griedwick Mangazi, the two victims with serious injuries were taken to Mzimba district hospital whereas the other 19 who sustained minor injuries are being treated at Jenda rural hospital.
Mangazi further said that the rest of passengers who were also in the bus did not sustain any injuries.
The incidents happened just after a week where another bus which carried students from Mary Mount Secondary School also involved in an accident claiming lives of two students.
