Four people arrested for defiling and killing a standard 8 leaner in Thyolo

Police in Thyolo have arrested four men on suspicion that they defiled and murdered a 12-year-old school girl last week Tuesday.

Thyolo Police deputy publicist Rabecca Kashoti, has identified the suspects as Dan Salijeni aged 27, from Mangwalala village, Andrew Salijeni 29, Chimbeta village, Kilinani Kampondeni 26, Chimbeta village, three are from the area of Senior Chief Khwethemule while Fretcher Selemani 24 is from Matchuwana village in Senior chief Nchiramwera in the same district.

Kashoti said the four are expected to undergo a DNA test as investigations continue.

In a related development, Kashoti has also disclosed that they have arrested three other people for allegedly murdering a woman, who was found dead behind Makwasa market on the same day the girl was defiled and murdered.
