Blantyre City Council sets to hold first ever City Summit


The Blantyre City Council (BCC) said is set to hold its first ever City Summit meeting to take place on February 23rd 2023.

This is the meeting where by the council will come together with its citizens to discuss matters affecting the city.

Director of Town Planning and Estates Services Costly Chanza, mentioned some of the things they will discuss on the meeting including waste management, security, illegal vending and street connected children.

Former Mayors, Business captains and members of different communities are some of the groups to be present on the day.

The summit will take place at Mount Soche Hotel in the city and it is expected to host over 120 participants.
