School Collapse in Blantyre Leaves One Student Feared Dead

A school block at Wonder Care Private School in Nancholi, Blantyre collapsed today, leaving one student feared dead and five others injured.

The incident happened after heavy rains in the area.

Eyewitness Shera Namacha reported hearing women calling for help before he and others arrived to rescue the trapped students.

The police later arrived on the scene.

The school owners and teachers were not present to provide an account of the incident as they had reportedly gone to the hospital.

The Nancholi Police Unit referred inquiries to the Blantyre Police for further information.
