Court Reverses Ruling to Reinstate Green Belt Authority Employees

Date:

The Industrial Relations Court has reversed its previous ruling to reinstate several employees of the Green Belt Authority who were terminated due to irregular recruitment practices.

Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Authority, Eric Chidzungu, appeared in court today to defend the original decision to dismiss the employees.

According to a court order, the employees will remain dismissed until further hearings on the case take place.

The Attorney General has confirmed this development, but did not provide further details on the ongoing legal proceedings.
