DPP MPs storm Parliament while putting on sackcloth (see photos)

As one way of showing displeasure on how this year’s AIP programme has been handled this year, the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) members of Parliament have stormed the August House while putting on sackcloth.

This is so as President Dr. Lazarus Chakwerascheduled to open the 50th session of Parliament with the State of the Nation Address (SONA)

The oppositions DPP MPs putting on sackcloth are being led by Thyolo Central lawmaker Ben Phiri and Mangochi Central MP Victoria Kingstone.

But the dressing has not gone done well with the Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara.

Hara described the dressing as inappropriate.
