The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Malawi Chapter has said it is saddened with the untimely death of journalist MarcFarlane Mbewe.
Mbewe collapsed during a meeting on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KuHes) campus in Blantyre and he was later pronounced dead.
Until his death, Mbewe was working with Malawi Liverpool Welcome Trust Clinical Research Programme.
Among others, Mbewe worked for Capital Radio, Times Group, The Story Workshop and Seventh Day Adventist Radio.
In a statement MISA Malawi Chairperson Teresa Ndanga said Mbewe will be remembered as a dedicated and ambitious journalist who upgraded academically and perfected his skills over time.
Mbewe will be laid to rest this coming Saturday at at HHI in Blantyre.
