Chiradzulu Senior Resident Magistrate, Andrew M’manga, has released on bail Mwanje ward councillor, Douglas Mkweza, who is answering theft charges for allegedly offering for sale a government grader at K3.5 million.
Among other conditions Mkweza has been ordered to produce two sureties and a cash bond of K100 thousand.
He is also expected to be reporting to the police station in the district Friday of every fortnight.
The matter is expected back in court after fourteen days for commencement of trial.
