CHANCO student takes own life in Zomba

Unconfirmed reports reaching this publication indicates that a second year student from the University of Malawi (UNIMA), formerly known as Chancellor College (CHANCO) has hanged himself to death in his room at Chikanda area in Zomba.

The student has been identified as Stainly Zamala, who was doing his bachelor of science in Chemistry.

According to the source, the deceased body was found in the early hours of Wednesday.

His body has been taken to Zomba Central Hospital for postmortem.

Police are yet to comment on the matter.
